What can it read?
Once connected, your assistant can see your projects, the recordings in each one, and the full transcript of any recording that has finished transcribing, with speaker names and timestamps. It can also tell you which account it is connected to and how much storage and how many Chat searches you have left. Nothing the assistant does uses AI credits.
Can it search my interviews?
Yes. Ask for quotes on a topic, for example "Find quotes about pricing in my usability study", and the assistant runs the same search as the Chat tab in the app. It gets back real quotes tied to a recording and a moment in it. You can narrow a search to one recording or one speaker. Searches from an assistant are free and do not use your AI credits. See Do searches from Claude or ChatGPT use my AI credits?.
Can it tag quotes and build reels?
Yes. The assistant can create a playlist in a project and add quotes to it as clips, which is how you tag a theme in Clipses. It saves each clip with the transcript's exact wording so the clip cuts to the right moment. It can then render the playlist into a highlight reel and hand you the link to the playlist in the app, the reel's share link, and a temporary download link for the finished video. Downloads follow your plan's rules, so a plan that watermarks reels or does not allow downloads behaves the same way here.
Can it add recordings?
It can import a recording from a public Google Drive share link into a project. It cannot upload a file from your computer. Imports count against your plan's storage and daily upload limits, the same as in the app. Importing and rendering both run in the background, so see Why does Claude say my import or reel is still processing?.
What can it not do?
It cannot delete anything: no projects, recordings, playlists, clips, or reels. It cannot change your account or settings, edit transcripts, rename speakers, or touch billing. It can only reach your own account, never anyone else's. If you ask it to delete something, it will tell you to do that in the app.
What should I ask it?
Plain questions work best. Some examples:
- What projects do I have in Clipses?
- Find quotes about onboarding friction in my usability study.
- Read me the transcript of the second interview.
- Create a playlist called Pricing objections and add the three strongest quotes to it.
- Turn that playlist into a highlight reel and give me the share link.
- How much storage and how many searches do I have left?
