Connecting an AI assistant lets you work with your interviews from a chat, for example "Find quotes about pricing in my usability study" or "Make a playlist of the three strongest ones." These steps work for Claude and ChatGPT. For Cursor, VS Code, and other tools, see the full connection guide.
- Log in to Clipses in your web browser and leave that tab open.
- In your AI assistant, open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose to add a custom connector (in Claude, click Add custom connector).
- Paste https://api.clipses.ai/mcp as the connector URL and save it.
- Click Connect, or follow your assistant's sign-in prompt. A Clipses page opens in your browser showing the email you are signed in with.
- Check that the email is yours, then click Allow.
Before you start
- Log in to Clipses first. If you connect before you are logged in, you will see a page asking you to sign in. Log in, go back to that page, and click I signed in -- retry.
- Claude Team and Enterprise: members cannot add custom connectors themselves. A workspace Owner adds Clipses under Organization Settings, then Connectors, and members connect it from the list.
Good to know
- The assistant acts as you, so it can read your own projects and nothing else. See What can Claude or ChatGPT do once connected to Clipses?
- Searches the assistant runs are free and do not use your plan's AI credits. See Do searches from Claude or ChatGPT use my AI credits?
- To disconnect, see How do I disconnect Claude or ChatGPT from Clipses?
