How do I install the Clipses Chrome extension?

Add "Clipses.ai: Record, Clip & Share Research Calls" from the Chrome Web Store, pin it from the puzzle icon so it stays on your toolbar, then open it and click Sign in to Clipses. You need Google Chrome 116 or newer on a computer.

Before you start

The extension runs in Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop. It needs Chrome 116 or newer. You also need a Clipses account; the Free plan works.

Steps

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store and search for "Clipses.ai: Record, Clip & Share Research Calls".
  2. Click Add to Chrome, then confirm when Chrome asks.
  3. Wait for the welcome page to open. It says Clipses is now in your Chrome. Pin it to continue.
  4. Click the puzzle icon at the right of your Chrome toolbar.
  5. Click the pin next to Clipses so its icon stays visible.
  6. Click the Clipses icon in your toolbar.
  7. Click Sign in to Clipses.
  8. Click Allow in the window that opens. It says Clipses for Chrome wants to access your Clipses account.
  9. Click the Clipses icon again to check that it now shows Add Clipses to a call.

After installing

The extension adds a card to your Google Meet calls and a button to your Google Calendar events. To record your first call, see How do I record a Google Meet call with the Chrome extension?

If step 8 shows a page that asks you to sign in instead of asking you to allow access, see Why does the extension show a login page instead of asking me to approve?
