FAQ

Can a connected AI assistant see all my projects?

Yes. The connection acts as you, so it can read every project, transcript, and playlist in your account, and nothing that belongs to anyone else. You can disconnect it at any time under Settings, API Tokens, Connected apps.

What exactly can it see?

Everything your own login can see: every project in your account, including archived ones, every recording and its transcript, every playlist and clip, and your plan usage. There is no way to limit a connection to one project. When you approve the connection, Clipses shows you this list before you click Allow.

Can it see other people's projects?

No. Every request is tied to your account, so the assistant can only reach projects you own. It cannot see other Clipses users' work, and it cannot see a project that someone shared a reel from unless that project is yours.

Does the assistant's company get my transcripts?

When your assistant reads a transcript or runs a search, that text goes to the assistant you connected, in the same way as anything else you paste into a chat with it. How that assistant stores and uses what it reads is governed by its own terms, so check the privacy settings of Claude, ChatGPT, or whichever tool you connected. Clipses only sends what the assistant asks for during your conversation.

Can it change or delete my data?

It can add things: playlists, clips, Google Drive imports, and rendered reels. It cannot delete anything, edit transcripts, change your settings, or touch billing. See What can Claude or ChatGPT do once connected to Clipses?.

How do I take access away?

In Clipses, open Settings, find API Tokens, and under Connected apps click the trash icon next to the app, then Disconnect. Access ends immediately. Steps are in How do I disconnect Claude or ChatGPT from Clipses?.
